We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team! This is a fast-paced, high-pressure position in a highly competitive industry. We are looking for an ambitious person who can work with opposing counsel, collection agencies, and merchant cash advance lenders to resolve client matters!

In this position, one is responsible for initiating calls to banks, law firms, and collection agencies on behalf of our clients by phone, mail, or email to resolve matters and settle outstanding debt-related accounts. Follows cases, provides team and client updates, and maintains accurate and detailed records.

This is a full-time in-office position located in Melville, NY

Settlement Specialist Job Responsibilities:

· Answer calls and emails as needed professionally while maintaining communication with the team on the status of matters.

· Answering client inquiries and negotiating settlements with creditors of clients.

· Work directly with in-house attorneys and other team members in-house to determine a strategic course of action to resolve client matters.

· Working individually and with the team to meet daily, weekly, and monthly goals.

· Maintain appropriate and precise notes and regularly update account status to the attorneys and team.

· Timely and regular attendance at work is a must.

Settlement Specialist Qualifications:

· 2 Years of work experience in commercial, consumer, or other legal, settlement and/or collection debt-related services

· Excellent organizational skills, with strong attention to detail

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Word – Outlook - Excel

· Able to multi-task and thrive in a busy high-pressure environment.

· Demonstrate professionalism and a positive attitude.

· Mycase experience is a plus, but not required.

· Some college is required.

· Ability to manage challenging calls.

· Ability to successfully meet tight deadlines.
