Job Description Summary

As a Senior Corporate Payroll Analyst working for Taylor Morrison, you will be responsible for all payroll related processing activities. Maintain effective communication channels with team members and provide excellent customer service to all levels of leadership and team members throughout the organization.

Job Details

We trust that as a Senior Corporate Payroll Analyst you will:

  • Prepare, process, and audit bi-weekly payroll for multiple companies in multiple states, to include processing new hire, status change, and termination paperwork, processing garnishments, auditing payroll for accuracy
  • Maintain accurate ADP employee files and payroll records and prepare various payroll reports for the business
  • Ensure mandatory and voluntary withholding and deductions are accurately calculated and reported
  • Assists in the preparation of year-end W-2s or other related tax filings or reports.
  • State and local tax registrations and maintenance as needed
  • Annual 401k and Workers Compensation Audit Support
  • Perform regular audits of employee records between various systems to ensure accuracy of data reported
  • Assist in preparing wires for payroll funding needs, including bank transfer requests
  • Prepares with accuracy the Burden Report for labor reporting to Accounting
  • Works with ADP to address Tax Administration questions via Smart Compliance, and validates annual SUI Notice updates are properly maintained and reported
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and all other related payroll policies and procedures
  • Research and resolve employee or manager questions about payroll policies and pay discrepancies
  • Acts as a back-up for Payroll Manager when needed
  • Work well in team environment, forming a partnership with customers, and delivering world-class customer service

About you:

  • Minimum 6 years payroll and related custom reporting experience required, ADP (Workforce Now) experience preferred
  • Associate's degree or equivalent work experience required, CPP preferred
  • Working knowledge of compensation and benefits principles and practices
  • Experience with Workday or similar HCM is a plus
  • Strong computer skills with advanced skills in MS Excel
  • Experience handling multi-state payroll, including California experience
  • Attention to detail and focus on accuracy
  • Self-motivator who maintains confidentiality and professionalism
  • Must be able to plan and organize workload appropriately to meet deadlines

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

  • This position is considered a non-exempt position for purposes of wage-hour law, which means that you will be required to keep a time record and will be eligible for overtime pay.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to able to remain in a stationary position up to 50% of the time
  • The ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
