Our Spokane location, Rolled Steel Products Structural Systems (RSPSS), specializes in full-service design and production of steel framed self-storage solutions. We are looking for a senior level draftsman with experience in commercial building design as well as experience in developing Revit standards and templates. This position will work with in house engineers and project managers to produce fabrication ready plan sets in AutoCAD. As our market continues to expand you will also be in charge of developing a Revit based system to meet the needs of more complex projects. The ideal candidate will have an associates degree or equivalent in CAD drafting with four plus years of experience in building drawing production using CAD/Revit as well as experience in the building construction industry. Attention to detail and ability to work in a team environment are essential.

Essential Duties:

• Create fabrication and construction ready drawing sets using AutoCAD and in-house programs
• Prepare and update drawing sets using red-lines from engineers, project managers and initial sketches from the sales team
• Mentor entry level CAD staff
• Maintain drawing accuracy throughout the revision process
• Develop a Revit based solution to applicable projects and processes
• Maintain document organization using company standards
• Identify and tabulate required materials from completed drawing sets for project fabrication
• Work with sales staff to develop presentation drawings for use in project acquisition
• Perform other duties as required
• Bring a positive attitude with an understanding of the value of teamwork and outstanding customer service

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Associates degree or equivalent in CAD drafting required
• Four plus years of experience in building drawing plan production
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit required
• Great analytical skills and detail oriented
• Strong math skills including trigonometry
• Experience in the building construction industry preferred
• Competency in the use of Excel, Word, and other software applications
• Critical thinking skills and ability to perform self-directed work
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
