Taylor Farms Nw is Hiring an Inventory Control Technician - Night Shift Near Kent, WA

The Taylor Farms story began in the Salinas Valley, affectionately called America’s Salad Bowl. Our location in the Kent Valley is responsible for the production of deli foods for major retailers across the country. We have an amazing opportunity for an experienced Inventory Control Technician to join our busy team. This position is not eligible for relocation and is 100% on-site. This is an overnight position.

Job Summary:

Responsible for providing the site with accurate and updated inventories on a regular basis.

Job Duties:

  • Count, check, move and adjust inventory as needed using handheld scanners
  • Operate equipment to move or count items.
  • Use computer to generate reports, input counts and submit reports
  • Participate in month end and year end cycle counts, overtime required
  • Scan location in assigned area
  • Visually count product in specific locations, Document visual counts and deviations
  • Perform discrepancy re-checks if physical and system inventory do not match
  • Visually inspect product for damage, incorrect / missing labels ,expiration, or other problems.
  • Notify supervisor of any issues.
  • Update inventory system for accuracy
  • Responsible for supporting food safety and quality in the plant.
  • Must be able to work overtime when business requires, i.e., busy seasons, vacation coverage, end of month, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1-year experience in a production or warehouse environment
  • 1 year riding pallet jack and stand-up forklift experience preferred.
  • Comfortable working up to 25 feet high on scissor lifts
  • Prior WMS or ERP experience a plus
  • Must have a smartphone to accept DUO access to software systems
  • Must have basic math, English and Excel skills for data entry and simple formulas.
  • Ability to work independently and be self-motivated to complete daily tasks with minimal supervision and multi-task.
  • Must have excellent organization skills and be detail oriented.
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs frequently and work in a refrigerated warehouse.
  • Must have sensory capabilities to avoid accidents as warehouse environment involves fast moving forklift and power jack equipment.
  • Capable of succeeding in a busy environment
  • Task and deadline-driven
  • Able to work with minimum supervision.
  • Consistent and reliable attendance.
