Taylor County is seeking applications for the position of Official Court Reporter in the Associate 326th District CPS Court.
Must have completed a court reporting education program and hold a Texas Court Reporter Certification.
Position Description:
Utilizing a stenographic machine and computer-aided translation program, make verbatim records of all proceedings in the 326th District Court. Read aloud any portions of testimony required by the court. Produce transcripts of testimony and proceedings as requested by the court, attorneys, and parties, pursuant to the local practices and as required by Texas law, Supreme Court rules, and the rules of the Judicial Branch Certification Commission. Additionally, perform administrative duties as required by the Judge. Other office duties, as necessary.
Qualifications
Must be certified in machine shorthand by the Texas Judicial Branch Certification Commission. Must have excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing. Must be able to comply with the Texas Code of Judicial Conduct and the Texas Court Reporter Code of Ethics. Must be organized, punctual, and have the ability to meet deadlines.

Starting Salary: $108,738.38 Benefits to be effective 10/1/2024
