Thomas Steel Strip Corp. is searching for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician for their facility in Warren, OH.

Primary Function:
To replace. repair, assemble, calibrate, test, adjust, modify, and service all types of electronic equipment or any type of integrating, indicating, or graphic electronic electro-mechanical instruments. electronic control of pneumatic control systems. hydraulic control systems, and computer control systems.
Tools and Equipment
Schematics, wiring diagrams, drawings, electrical and electronic tools, precision instruments, personal computers, calibrating and testing equipment, hand tools, drill press, grinder, electric drills, wire stripper soldering iron, ladders, power man lift, safety devices, and any tool or equipment associated with the craft.
Materials
AC and DC drive systems and fractional horsepower motors as associated with the craft; electronic controls and regulators: various mill and production equipment; electronic computing and control systems: data indicating. recording, and processing equipment; control circuits; electro-mechanical control instruments: electronic gauges and detectors; x-ray gauges; industrial TV; radios; annunciators; vacuum tubes: transistors: transducers: wire and cable terminations, connectors and cable associated with the craft: electronic scales: load cells: pneumatic control instrumentation; tachometers: resolvers: encoders: printed circuit boards: potentiometers: ultrasonic devices; power supplies; SCR's: radio controls: programmable logic controllers: computerized numerical controllers: pneumatic controllers; hydraulic controllers: and audio amplifiers.
Working procedures
Procures schematics, wiring diagrams. drawings. specifications and instructions covering the scheduled and emergency repairs, replacements and inspection work to be done. Makes programming changes or forces as required for troubleshooting, or as directed by supervision or engineering support.
Analyzes all types of circuits, schematics, wiring diagrams, and drawings as required to replace, repair. adjust calibrate. assemble, modify or service all types of electronic control systems and electronic controls for electro- mechanical devices and systems: including communications systems electronics. various mill and production equipment, electronic computing and control systems, assists troubleshooting control power distribution system, programmable logic controllers, computerized numerical controllers, pneumatic controllers, hydraulic controllers, measuring, recording, processing. and control devices, indicating devices and gauges, rectifiers and transformers associated with the craft. analysis associated with the craft.
Makes electronic repairs on pneumatic, mechanical and hydraulic system repairs as required in connection with the servicing of electronic equipment and instruments.
Plans and performs work requiring a thorough knowledge of electronic, electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic principles, wiring specification codes, properties of various materials, principles of operation and application of equipment, associated with the craft.
