Responsibilities:
- Prepares and estimates budget costs for civil construction by analyzing plans and specifications.
- Develops and presents budgets, reports, and project plans.
- Develops proposals for construction projects.
- Works closely with engineers and other professionals.
- Schedules meetings with clients, site managers, and staff.
- Navigates and understands building codes.
- Processes paperwork and travels to construction sites as required.
- Monitors construction processes.
- Stays up to date with safety codes and improvements in construction.
- BS degree in construction management, civil engineering, business administration, OR equivalent experience.
- 5 years of estimating for commercial sitework and public works. Experience with excavation, earthwork, grading, site development, and utilities a plus!
- Strong work ethic, and good communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
