Tampa Amalgamated Steel Corp. (TASCO) is currently hiring for an experienced Helper of Steel Manufacturing. The Helper assists fabricators and welders with the production of structural steel. This is a hands-on position that requires attention to detail, and the ability to read a tape measure. Must be Dependable, Motivated and have a Strong Work Ethic.

MUST HAVES / Skills & Knowledge

• in steel/metal shop/manufacturing operations
• Ability to read a tape measure (a test will be given)
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
• Ability to prioritize, organize and multi-task effectively
• Ability to perform basic math (a test will be given)
• Knowledge of and prior handling of tools and their uses (grinders, drills, band saw, tape measures etc.)
• Min. of 1 year experience with overhead crane operation and forklift operation within a steel shop.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Must possess a high attention to detail, concern for others and be adaptable/flexible

You will need to be able to work with your hands, lift objects up to 55 lbs., be on your feet for long periods of time often doing repetitive motions, be able to work in various weather conditions and pass drug screen & background check. *Felon Friendly*

TASCO is offering a pay range of $17.00 to $19.00 an hour for the ideal candidate for this position depending on experience/qualifications.
