Tarzana Treatment Center is Hiring a Clinical Director Near Tarzana, CA

POSITION SUMMARY

Senior management leadership position that reports directly to the CEO at Tarzana Treatment Centers. The applicant must be a licensed psychologist with both clinical and research work experience and background. Knowledge of substance use disorders (SUD) is required. TTC provides whole-person, trauma-informed care with the full continuum of substance use and mental health services, along with integrated primary care, specialty services, housing, enhanced case management and more. The Clinical Director oversees aspects of the 60-bed inpatient psychiatric hospital and provides input and guidance to the unit’s and agency’s psychology, psychiatry, nursing, and other staff. The position also provides clinical consultation to TTC’s mental health, SUD, and other services. The right applicant will have sufficient clinical research experience to serve as the site principal investigator of a NIDA-funded Clinical Trials Network (CTN) study. Knowledge of Joint Commission standards, APA approved internship programs, and credentialing is desirable. Tarzana Treatment Centers is a large private, non-profit organization with services sites in the Antelope, San Fernando Valley, and Long Beach communities.

Salary Range

$200k to $274k DOE

EDUCATION

A Ph.D., Psy.D. or Ed.D in psychology. Current license as a psychologist from the California Board of Psychology.

EXPERIENCE

Minimum of five (5) years experience in evaluating and/or treating persons suffering from substance abuse and/or dual diagnosis. Two (2) years of management and supervisory experience.

  • Proven experience working in a leadership role in a clinical setting
  • In-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with staff, patients, and other stakeholders.
  • Proficient in the use of healthcare software and technology.
