EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Develops, maintains, and implements nursing policies and procedures that conform to current standards of nursing practice, facility philosophy, and operational policies while maintaining compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.Serves as the point of contact to the Texas Board of Nursing for regulatory and administrative issues.Under the direction of the medical staff is responsible for the standardized preparation, monitoring, revision, and annual evaluation of all Standing Delegated Orders.Coordinates with division managers as needed with corrective action implementation following audits and policy changes for process improvement.Works with Workforce Development to identify, develop, implement, and maintain an effective orientation program for onboarding new nurses.Works with the Compliance Manager pertaining to patient safety and compliance.Coordinates with division managers for the deployment of continuous quality improvement and leadership principles to strengthen nurse supervisor skills.Networks with healthcare and academic institutions, community agencies, and the private sector to assist in the development of innovative ways to advance public health nursing programs in Tarrant County.Coordinates with division managers and medical staff in maintaining and periodically assessing nursing staff proficiencies for fire and emergency procedures. Takes the lead for skills education and training.Performs all other related duties as required.

While performing the duties of this position, the incumbent is regularly required to bend, carry, climb stairs, grasp/squeeze, use hand tools, hear, keyboard, kneel, lift below the waist, lift between waist and shoulder, lift overhead, lift to the side/twist, tolerate noise, pull, push, reach, reach overhead, perform repetitive tasks, see color, see far and near, sit, squat, stand, stoop, talk, twist, use his/her hands, drive a vehicle, walk, work alone and with others, and work overtime.
