Targa Resources Careers is Hiring a Truck Loader Near Charles, LA

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Truck Loader is responsible for loading and offloading trucks at the Gillis Loading Rack..

 

JOB FUNCTIONS AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

·Load and offload trucks on the Gillis Loading Rack

·Interface with team, personnel, and vendors

·Maintain clean and safe working environment

·Make repairs as deemed reasonable and safe

·Maintain accurate records

·Operate a company vehicle

·Maintain tools and equipment issued

·Work overtime, weekends, holidays, with the ability to respond to call outs as needed to fulfill business objective and the ability to work shifts for plant or field conditions

MINIMUM ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

·Minimum of 2 years(s) related work experience.

·Knowledge of Natural Gas Liquid properties

·Knowledge of weights and measures

·Must pass the “Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry Registered Weigh Master” test (after training)

·Minimum High School Diploma or Equivalent

·Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license to include a safe driving record satisfactory to the company

·Strong interpersonal communication skills are required to interface with all affected teams, personnel, and vendors.

·Strong work ethic with demonstrated ability to effectively work with minimum supervision

·Computer proficiency to include MS Office

·Ability to work in changing climate conditions.

·Follow and adhere to all applicable Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) guidelines (ex: eye protection, footwear, Nomex). 

·Must be able to work 12-hour days on a 7/7 schedule (5am-5pm)

·Regular and Reliable Attendance

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

·Two years’ experience in petrochemical industry

·Strong organizational skills

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

 

·Ability to lift, push, and pull at least a minimum of 50lbs.

·Ability to work in changing climate conditions.

·Able to work in close quarters: i.e., work while kneeling, squatting, sitting, climbing, and standing.
