Taravista Behavioral Health is Hiring a Nurse Practitioner - Per Diem Near Devens, MA

Join Us as a Nurse Practitioner!

We are looking for Per Diem - Weekend Rounding and vacation coverage for our Admissions and Unit areas.

Requirements:

  • 2 weekends per month
  • 2 holidays per year
  • weekday coverage as needed with prior notice

How You Care for Our Patients

We are currently looking for a Mass licensed and board certified/eligible Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our team. This position is well compensated, fact paced and offering a flexible work schedule.

  • The PMHNP will be responsible for conducting psychiatric evaluations and orders on patients being admitted to the hospital.
  • Working in a fast-paced environment admitting patients for our adult inpatient units.
  • Ability to evaluate Children and Adolescents.
  • Comfortable working with dual diagnosis adults and placing orders for patients withdrawing from alcohol or opioids.
  • Assist with emergency situations and the ability to make immediate referrals.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as team with other NPs, RNs, SW & other staff members.

You Bring Meaningful Experience

Successful candidates will have the following:

  • Bachelor's degree required. Must be a graduate of a Nurse Practitioner Program.
  • RN licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner within the state of Massachusetts required.
  • Prior experience in a Psychiatry setting is preferred but not required.
  • Self-directed, demonstrate initiative and professionalism, and exercise expert clinical judgment to function independently.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Current CPR certification required.
