TapBlaze is Hiring a General Manager, Game Studio Near Los Angeles, CA

Due to continuous growth, we are looking for a General Manager to fill an Integrator role. As the General Manager, you will manage the business operations of the company to enhance productivity and profitability. You will need to integrate all systems and lead the team to execute daily tasks that align with the company's vision.
The ideal candidate should have strong operations skills, be proactive, and have excellent collaboration skills. Your main focus is to bring together all major functions of the company and provide leadership, management, and accountability on a daily basis to drive growth and improve efficiency. You will report directly to the CEO and will balance leadership and management while holding the team accountable for their responsibilities. Your role is crucial in ensuring the team works cohesively and that the company's strategy is executed effectively - you are team leader who can act as the "glue," bringing the team together and ensuring that tasks progress from "in progress" to "completed." They should exhibit a passion for closing loops and achieving successful outcomes.

OBJECTIVES
  • Execute the business plan, ensuring that the planned financial objectives are met or exceeded.
  • Run the day-to-day business - providing leadership, management, and holding individuals accountable to meet deadlines. Create, update and manage performance through an accountability system
  • Maintains the well-being, culture and daily operations of the studio; ensure that there is effective communication and alignment of all team members with our Core Values throughout the company; point everyone in the same direction
  • Manage all company projects, both live and upcoming
  • Set clear goals for the team and hold team members accountable for deliverables; continually recognize and reward employees for strong performance
  • Provide management to staff and leadership to the organization that aligns with the company’s business plan and overall strategic vision
  • Lead, coach and develop staff to ensure growth and expand the talent base
  • Partner with HR to recruit, develop and retain talent
  • Maintain all necessary employee records and administer benefits. Oversee firm payroll, employee operations and handbook
  • Write, implement, and follow processes
  • Ensure the office space is functional and comfortable
COMPETENCIES
  • Effectively lead the Sales, Marketing, R&D, Operations, Finance, IT, and HR functions of the company
  • Displays exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively troubleshoot issues independently
  • Strong drive and commitment toward obtaining results
  • Strong ability to provide clear creative direction, timely and helpful feedback to improve creative processes to keep work on quality, budget and schedule
  • Possesses an aptitude for monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and metrics, and analyzing that data to make informed decisions that drive growth
  • Ability to maintain a sense of urgency while remaining detail oriented; please mention "beauty is in the details" - you must love working on the details
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Previous experience as an Integrator, General Manager, COO, or in a related role
  • Bachelor degree in a relevant field; Master degree or MBA is a plus
  • Pluses: Experience shipping and maintaining titles at a game studio
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Los Angeles, CA: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work
  • Prolonged period of time sitting at a desk and computer
