Position: Business Information Systems Manager – Global Location: Corporate New York Department: Information Technology Reports To: Senior Business Information Systems Manager – Global Direct Reports: Applications Support Specialist – I, Business Systems Analyst - II
POSITION SUMMARY: The role of Business Information Systems Manager – Global is to plan, coordinate, and manage all activities related to IT business applications to include POS systems at all existing and new venues. This position will work closely with management and users to identify, recommend, modify, implement, and support business applications, focusing on the continual improvement of these systems and meeting the operational and strategic needs of the organization.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Develop testing protocols to ensure integrity of Point of Sales systems and processes
Extensive experience in Micros, Avero, OpenTable, Craftable and other hospitality support systems.
Ensure the quality and integrity of data stored in these systems, archive retrievable data, and ensure that all database applications are secured
Maintain knowledge of developments in systems and hardware and incorporates new developments into the future systems of the company
Plan information architecture by learning the company’s concepts, strategy, and target audience
Build and test through lab environments for full life cycle systems development
Envision architectural scheme, information structure and features, functionality, and user-interface design
Create user scenarios; prepare data models; design information structure, work-and dataflow, and navigation; evaluate information representation; conduct creative brainstorming meetings across departments
Effectively manage project team members and third-party contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work
Work with IT Operations teams to develop disaster recovery plans and processes
Prepare documentation and training materials
Serve as a consultant and trainer to all staff to increase staff capacity on system issues and expand their working knowledge of technical solutions for these applications
Develop and manage data security including user groups and user roles within applications and user access to data
Manage the development and deployment of new applications and application enhancements
Ensuring business requirements and timelines are met
Select, develop, and motivate qualified staff to effectively carry out department functions and provide for the continuity of managerial and specialized skills
Assist and/ or complete additional tasks as assigned
EDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s Degree required
Minimum three (3) years’ experience working with purchasing and or POS systems utilized within the hospitality industry
Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
Valid Driver’s License
21 years of age
Maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance adhering to Company standards
WORKING KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:
Proficient in POS systems and all hospitality support systems
SKILLS:
Must have strong problem-solving skills
Ability to communicate effectively and assertively in the English language, both verbally and in writing with staff, clients, and the public.
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals
