Meat Cutter / Butcher Duties / Responsibilities : Cuts, trims, and prepares meat for sale to customers. Basic yield understanding with portioning experience in cutting in ounces not inches.

Ability to produce products at or above the minimum timeline requirements (PPH) pounds per hour. Receives and fulfills custom orders Packages and displays meat.

Label understanding, MBG (Meat Buyers Guide) basic categories and description knowledge. Labels meat to indicate cut, grade, preparation date, best-by date, and other relevant information.

Closely follows all safety and sanitation procedures, both personal & plant QA requirements or any instructions from management.

Answers questions regarding types, cuts, and suggested preparation of meats. Remove, redundant. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Willingness to help other Team members without being asked. A leader with willingness to advance in the company, become a supervisor, training etc.

Maintain a Good positive attitude with company moto Whatever it Takes . Required Skills / Abilities : Thorough understanding of types, cuts, and preparation methods of meat.

Understanding of, or ability to quickly learn, applicable food handling and sanitation requirements. Ability to use knives, scales, and other implements safely and with precision.

Good verbal communication skills, bi-lingual helpful. Ability to concentrate on a singular task. Education and Experience : On-the-job training provided, minimum 5 years beef, pork and poultry cutting, and or 2 years in portion cutting steaks & chops.

Physical Requirements : Ability to stand for long periods of time in refrigerated environment. Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds at times.
