Job Description
Duties and responsibilities
-Placing timely and accurate orders – using forecast and other market data.
-Maintaining service level numbers required by Tankersley.
-Managing inventories to maximize turns and minimize overstocks
-Developing relationships with suppliers and brokers
- Working well and communicating with Sales Department, Operations and Transportation
- Ensuring pricing is correct and updated as required
-Setting up Suppliers and Item Codes
- Handling purchase order discrepancies
- Working dated items to prevent spoilage
