A health services organization in California is currently seeking a licensedFamily Medicine Physician for a promising opportunity with their growing staff. In this role, the Family Medicine Physician will be responsible for providing and managing direct patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses and treatment.
About the Opportunity
  • Assignment Length: 3 months
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday
  • Hours: 8 hour shift
  • Setting: Clinic
  • Patient Population: Adults
  • Patient Volume: 20 per day
  • EMR: Touchworks
Responsibilities:
The Family Medicine Physician will be responsible for:
  • Performing therapeutic procedures, such as I&D, splinting, suturing, managing infection, and wound care
  • Documenting and charting patient information in line with current policies and procedures.
  • Developing and implementing patient management plans, recording progress notes, and assisting in provision of continuity of care
  • Communicating with patients regarding testing results, follow-up care, and additional information
  • Prescribing pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens as appropriate to assessed medical conditions
  • Referring patients to specialists and to relevant patient care components as appropriate.
  • Ordering diagnostic tests, such as x-ray, electrocardiogram, and laboratory tests, and interpret test results for deviation from normal
  • Performing other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
  • 2 years of Clinical experience in a Family Practice Care setting
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Medicine
  • Board Certified in Family Medicine
  • DEA license
  • Knowledge of computerized information systems used in business applications and clinical management systems (EMR)
  • Knowledge of current principles, methods and procedures for the delivery of medical evaluation, diagnosis and treatment
