Tandym Group is Hiring a Technical Project Manager - LIMS Near Norwood, MA

Senior PM Leadership Tasks :

  • Define and Lead Digital application projects, driving schedule, finances and stakeholder and risk management and mitigation as IT PM.
  • Support projects from requirements definition through deployment, building project schedules, following up on action log items with team members, setting up meetings which facilitate discussions necessary to meet team objectives, scorecard reporting to portfolio level. Risk log management and follow-up to ensure project risks are mitigated and escalated in timely manner. Support implementation plans, coordinate efforts with business partners on teams.
  • Establish and manage project timelines
  • Report project outcomes and/or risks to the appropriate management channels as needed-escalating issues as necessary
  • Write meeting agendas and meeting minute
  • Ensure project goals and means meet business objectives and deliver value in a timely fashion
  • Work collaboratively across the organization to gain alignment on project objectives and deliverables
  • Report on project progress and status
  • Establish and maintain processes to manage scope over the project lifecycle, setting project quality and performance standards, and assessing and managing risk within, and across, multiple projects
  • Complete weekly reporting and scorecard generation for the Global Quality Leadership Team meeting which meets every Monday.
  • While understanding process and methodology is important, projects are delivered by people. The LIMs project senior project manager must be a fast learner and able to influence without authority.
  • Soft skills are just as important as hard skills.
  • He/she must invest time in building relationships, both with stakeholders and the team members responsible for completing tasks, to:
    • create a nice place to work
    • create an environment where people are engaged with work and each other,
    • build commitment and reach your goals more quickly.
  • Build and develop the project team to ensure maximum performance, providing purpose, direction, and motivation
  • Establish and maintain relationships with appropriate client stakeholders, providing day-to-day contact on project status and changes
  • Maintain project Sharepoint sites as assigned.

Requirements Gathering, Business Process & Writing Tasks:

  • Coordinate and participate in requirement gathering and definition in coordination with business partner team of stakeholders
  • Work as a partner with teams to support the validation and business analyst processes needed to deliver a system's changes.
  • Understand and read process flow maps, SOPs, Work Instructions where needed to ensure project solution is aligned with business process flow.
  • Maintain critical details on system configurations and communicate those to others in writing and orally
  • Write computer validation test scripts used in performance qualification testing.
  • Ability to write validation test scripts is critical to this role, as is attention to detail.
  • Create Excel spreadsheets as needed to organize analyze data (Pivot tables in Excel)

Here's What You'll Bring to the Table:

  • 5 years administrative, laboratory, quality or project management experience
  • Project management experience, PMO experience would be a plus
  • PMP (Project Management Practitioner certification with PMI.org very helpful)
  • Educational degree commensurate with project management responsibilities: Clinical Laboratory Sciences, BS Business, Life Sciences, Pharma, Biotech, IT, Project Management, or work experience and management experience equivalent of 7 years.
  • Aptitude to work with data and people using a factual communication style
  • Ability to work in a fast- paced environment learning new vocabulary and acronyms on the job.
  • Ability to work in environment where little information is written, and as you work document the way of working and make improvements in your job role as needed.
  • Fast learner who can work across multiple projects on deliverables
  • Attention to detail is critical for this role
  • Proven success working with all levels of team members,
  • Friendly and positive attitude.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong presentation drafting skills in Powerpoint
  • Strong attention to deadlines and budgetary guidelines
  • Microsoft Office 365 experience, MS Teams, Outlook calendaring

Technical Skills Agile-based project execution
Strong Validation experience
LIMS with Integration knowledge
