Responsibilities:
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for:
- Maintaining the U.S. firm's books and records
- Reviewing the monthly and annual financial statements, with a focus on the regulated broker dealers
- Reviewing various accounting reconciliations and financial schedules that support the financial statements
- Collaborating with Outside Auditors and Advisors on accounting policy decisions, U.S. GAAP interpretations, and internal control documentation and decisions
- Working closely with other team members, including our accounting-specific technology team, to improve processes and ensure the group's goals are met
- Performing other duties, as needed
- 9 years of relevant Accounting experience in the Broker Dealer industry
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- In-depth knowledge of broker-dealer regulatory filings, required
- In-depth knowledge of U.S. GAAP
- Comprehensive understanding of Financial Statements and Legal Entity Reporting
- Able to research and interpret relevant/complex accounting literature
- Experience in the preparation of Technical Accounting papers
- Microsoft Excel proficient
- Solid analytical, mathematical, and research skills
- Great interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organized
