Tandym Group is Hiring a Residential Treatment LPN Near Rhinebeck, NY

A health services network in New York is currently seeking a new Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a great Weekend shift opportunity with their Residential Treatment team in Dutchess County
About the Opportunity:
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Setting: Long Term Residential Inpatient
  • Schedule: Weekends(Saturday & Sunday)
  • Hours: 7am to 4pm
  • Patient Population: Adults (18 ) struggling with addiction, military veterans, homelessness, etc.
Responsibilities:
The Residential Treatment LPN will:
  • Assist the RN or Physician with patient care, including checking vital signs, blood pressure, pulse rate, breathing, temperature, weight, etc.
  • Take patient's medical history, all pretreatment formalities and enters data in computer system
  • Ensure that medications are given to the intended patient in a safe and correct manner with proper documentation
  • Assist self-directed patients intaking medications
  • Handle proper charting, documentation and maintenance of medical records
  • Record in patient clinical records a detailed report of care given
  • Reinforce instructions given to patient by RN or Physician
  • Notify the RN or Physician of significant finding or changes in patient's physical or mental condition
  • Attend case conferences and other meetings as scheduled
  • Perform other duties, as assigned
Qualifications:
  • 1 year of experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Graduate of a formal Technical or Vocational LPN Program
  • NYS Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
  • BLS certification
  • Experience working with clients with Substance Use Disorder (SUD) and/or Serious Mental Illness (SMI)
  • Knowledge of Medical terminology
  • Solid assessment, clinical, and documentation skills
  • Patient oriented
  • Great interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Highly organized
