A nonprofit services organization in New York City is actively seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join their Psych team in a Brooklyn on a Part-time basis.
About the Opportunity:

• Start Date: ASAP
• Assignment Length: Ongoing
• Setting: Outpatient
• Shift: Part-time
• Hours: 14 to 21 hours per week
• Patient Population: All ages
• EMR: Cerner

Responsibilities:
The Part-time Psych Nurse Practitioner (NP) will:

• Gather information about the patient's history, symptoms, and behaviors
• Develop a treatment plan based on their needs
• Help patients identify and manage their emotions, thoughts, and behaviors to improve their mental health
• Prescribe medications for mental health disorders; monitor patients' medication adherence and assess their response to treatment
• Educate patients and their families about mental health disorders, treatment options, and coping strategies
• Provide support groups or counseling services to help patients manage their mental health.
• Maintain accurate and complete patient records, including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and medication orders
• Perform other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree
• NYS Nurse Practitioner (NP) license
• Comfortable with Suboxone
• Solid assessment, clinical, and documentation skills
• Patient oriented
• Great interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Strong attention to detail
• Highly organized
