Tandym Group is Hiring a Financial Aid Representative Near Schaumburg, IL

A school in Illinois is actively seeking a dynamic and driven professional to join their staff as their new Financial Aid Representative. In this role, the Financial Aid Representative will be responsible for assisting students in navigating the setup of aid to help cover their tuition.
Responsibilities
The Financial Aid Representative:
  • Provides exceptional customer service for students and staff
  • Keeps 72-hour contact with all unpackaged students
  • Responds to all communication (Voicemail, Email, IM) within 24 business hours
  • Shows promptly for scheduled meetings and calls
  • Remains available and prepared to field incoming communication
  • Communicates to students in a professional manner
  • Understands what programs are available and the requirements for each
  • Explores and explains all relative options
  • Pursues understanding over delivery of information Is a steward of the Student Finance Department
  • Analyzes and calculates awards accurately
  • Completes other duties as required or assigned
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Ability to multitask
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Highly organized
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask

  • Prior financial aid experience
