A large advertising and media company is seeking a highly experienced Director, International Tax Compliance & Special Projects with specialized knowledge in compliance to join their team.

Responsibilities:
The Director, International Tax Compliance & Special Projects will:

• Oversee and have ultimate responsibility for accurate US taxation of all International Operations for tax compliance and provision purposes (e.g., GILTI, Subpart F and FTC, etc.).
• Directly manage a team of 4 FTEs, training and guiding the team in various international compliance issues including tax technical analysis
• Ensure the completion and review of all US tax filing requirements for international operations, including all forms (e.g., Forms 5471), elections and disclosures
• Review and maintain the legal entity organization chart/ownership structure and US tax attributes
• Monitor international tax developments including but not limited to new US tax legislation and IRS notices and adjust the compliance processes accordingly.
• Provide data support for international tax research and planning team and IRS tax controversy team
• Work on ad hoc special projects, including modeling, as requested

Qualifications:

• CPA required
• Minimum 8 years' experience in international tax with large corporate taxpayers or with Big 4 accounting firm
• Extensive experience in the US taxation of international operations required
• Experience with international tax compliance software
• Knowledge and experience with Excel and Alteryx
• Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills
• Advanced analytical skills and tax research skills and the ability to solve complex technical and business problems
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to exercise judgement in solving technical, operational, and organizational challenges in the context of business objectives and priorities
• Ability to work independently, with guidance in only the most complex and unusual situations

Desired Skills:

• Advanced degree in US Taxation is preferred
• Knowledge in Tax Series is a plus
