Main responsibilities and tasks

  • Produce engineering and project management work packages, drawings, documentation and solutions for use by Energy clients, onshore/offshore, within the markets as such in the Wind, Oil & Gas operators’ as well as construction crews to install telecom infrastructure offshore
  • Apply appropriate engineering and project management principles, best practices and know-how, what and when there are key engineering inputs and outputs supposed to be applied
  • Know, learn, understand and apply customer technical requirements and apply to deliverables that are being produced
  • Liaise with peers and stakeholders such as subject matter experts, other disciplines to deliver an integrated and correct solution to customers
  • Make logical, systematic and rational judgments based on relevant information to secure best solutions, knowing when to escalate issues to line management and other peers/key stakeholders
  • Collaborate and knowledge share with the other technology verticals to further develop and improve existing solutions for a continuous improvement from Project Quality, i.e. interaction with the Mobile and Infrastructure Business Solutions members.
  • Computer literate, with an appreciation of any specialist packages related to the specific role/discipline – e.g. ACAD, MS Visio, MS Project, MS Excel etc.
  • Closely follow up offshore and onshore installation campaigns from definition through execution and make sure the Tampnet infrastructure is built according to the engineered standards and specifications
  • Remain knowledgeable on the evolving network technologies
  • Actively comply, enforce, and participate in Tampnet HSEQ policies and procedures
  • Support sales in presales activities as needed
  • Contribute to a positive work environment in the team/department
  • Participate in emergency response team as necessary
  • Perform other technical tasks within his/her area of expertise
  • Travel as needed

Security requirements

The position may require the processing of documents and information that mandates security clearance in accordance with the Norwegian Security Act.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree from a university required
  • Masters preferred
