Responsible for the operation and monitoring of the day-to-day pipeline procedures. Always maintain qualified Operator Qualifications (OQ) status. Some computer skills required to operate Supervisor Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system. Data entry on computer software and manual documentation. Communication skills required for internal, customer, and the public as needed. Assist pipeline maintenance team to preserve and correct operations of ammonia pipeline systems. Trouble shoot, test, maintain, and repair pipeline equipment. Perform periodic inspections and routine maintenance on the pipeline system. Complete maintenance records, service reports, and other required documents.
Also, responsible for performing utility locate services and right-of-way inspections on assigned pipeline systems. Will be responsible for coordinating with third-party excavators to ensure that the safety and integrity of underground pipelines are maintained during excavation activities. Additionally, the technician will complete all the associated documentation to ensure compliance with all federal/state laws, standards, and regulations.
