Job Summary:
Tampa Bay International School, a small, independent school serving students in grades K-7 for the 2024-2025 school year, seeks a part-time teacher to teach two classes of Ethics and World Beliefs.
Tampa Bay International School is a non-traditional school featuring classes in both English and Spanish, arts-rich instruction, multi-age classes, and a curriculum that highlights social justice and environmental sustainability. We also offer optional Jewish Studies classes and a parallel program of Ethics and World Beliefs. We seek a teacher to lead two sections of our Ethics and World Beliefs class – one for younger students and a second section for older students.
The teacher for this class should be fluent in English and comfortable working with diverse groups of children in multi-age groups.
The desired applicant should:

Start Date: August 12, 2024
End Date: May 23, 2025
Work Hours: Classes will be taught each Monday and Wednesday of the school year (excluding holidays) from 1:35 pm – 2:20 pm and 2:25 pm – 3:10 pm. Teacher will be responsible for effectively planning for classes and completing other necessary duties related to teaching outside of time spent with students.
Salary: $52.50 per class taught ($105 per day)
$300.00 stipend for curriculum design
Income may be increased through additional duties including, but not limited to: supervision of students during lunch/recess; teaching in after school program; tutoring of students during after school hours and teaching in summer camp
