Talos Energy is Hiring a DevOps Specialist Near Houston, TX

The DevOps Specialist will report directly to the Software Development Supervisor and assist with all functions of software coding, design, and SharePoint Administration.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Re-platforming the user experience and implementing customer-facing web-app features for our internal operations.
  • Administer and configure SharePoint Online sites, site collections, libraries, lists, and other related components.
  • Monitor SharePoint Online performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize configurations for scalability and reliability.
  • Customize SharePoint Online sites using out-of-the-box features, web parts, and modern experiences. 
  • Provide valuable support to the design team while continually improving their coding and design skills.
  • Working knowledge of basic programming languages and be able to work in a team environment for both front-end and back-end applications. 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • 3 years of prior professional programming experience in JavaScript, TypeScript, C# and .NET technologies.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field of study.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • Skilled with web SPA framework such as Angular
  • Skilled with ORM such as Entity Framework Core
  • Advanced understanding of object-oriented programming concepts.
  • Excellent knowledge of SQL and database technologies.
  • Ability to communicate and interact with a wide range of users ranging from very technical to non-technical.
  • Strong analytical skillset with demonstrated attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in administering SharePoint Online sites, permissions, and security settings.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint Online migration tools and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of Office 365 services, including Teams, OneDrive, and Power Automate, and their integration with SharePoint Online.
  • Working knowledge working with cloud-based technologies (Azure) preferred.
  • Working knowledge with Azure DevOps preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Sharegate preferred.

  • There are no certificates, licenses or registrations required for this position.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Employee must be able to sit for extended periods of time and have use of arms and hands in repetitive motion. A fair amount of standing and walking is also required for the position.
