Role

The job duties herein describe essential functions of the position. Additionally, regular attendance and punctuality are essential to the success of the position. The individual should be able to perform these essential functions with or without requested reasonable accommodations. 

Essential functions

  • Shipping and Receiving Team Lead Responsibilities
  • Responsible for on-site, off-site and customer inventory management
  • Dispatches and monitors transportation for all shipments and receipts including domestic, international, inter- company and customers.
  • Assigns and monitors pickup and delivery activities of company drivers.
  • Confirms job completion in manufacturing system and prepares final shipping documentation.
  • Responsible for documentation relating to material receipts against purchase orders (qty, packaging, quality and price).
  • Ensure accuracy of qualities of materials and parts inventory in MRP database. Responsible for parts room inventory control.
  • Data entry of purchase orders in addition to maintenance and upkeep of MRP database for accurate representation of inventory.
  • Maintain and organize Raw material and parts inventory organize and clean Completes shipping, receiving and inventory control reports.
  • Completes inventory transactions in manufacturing software system. Performs cycle counts and inventory audits.
  • Responsible for maintaining accurate inventory counts during all material movements and system transactions.
  • Responsible for keeping equipment and work area clean and orderly and perform basic preventative maintenance functions on equipment.
  • Maintenance and upkeep of shipping and receiving files and materials.
  • Within the scope of the job requirements, will be required to adhere and comply with state and federal law, the Company ISO/API Quality Program and procedures, Company policies and Safety and Environmental Regulations.

Qualifications


Qualifications & Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED 
  • 3 years related experience in manufacturing, warehouse, and or logistics, or approved by Manager.

Skills, Abilities & Work Style

  • Proficiency with the following computer software: Microsoft word, Excel, and Outlook, Must be able to quickly adapt to learning new software.
  • Ability to coordinate and execute multiple projects simultaneously with the capacity to work independently, coupled with the ability to plan and perform work with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills to include time and priority management.
  • Must be adaptable to a changing work environment, competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.
  • Must possess basic math skills to include but not limited to adding, subtracting, multiplication, and division for the purpose of inventory tracking, cycle counts and other functions related to the position.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

  • The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The job is performed under some temperature variations and some hazardous conditions. The employee occasionally works near machinery fluids and material wastes. The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and may occasionally be exposed to the risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is occasionally loud. Employees often come into contact with dust, dirt, grease, and paint on metal surfaces.
