Talley Eye Institute, a thriving ophthalmology practice is seeking professional, reliable and health care-oriented individuals for their technician departments. Duties include patient work-ups, obtaining patient medical histories, specialized diagnostic testing, assisting with patient care, patient education, minor procedures, and other duties as assigned. Some travel is required (day trips to our satellite offices). Medical experience is preferred. Excellent benefits.

  • Demonstrated ability to perform comprehensive work ups
  • Demonstrated computer literacy
  • Ability to travel to satellite offices as scheduled

Responsibilities:
  • Acquaint all new patients with office procedures to which they will be exposed
  • Inform patients of the purpose of all tests performed, and how the patient will be affected during the tests
  • Performs accurate and consistent documentation and measurement tasks 
  • Maintains a smooth flow of patients to the physician, altering the test sequence as required
  • Provides telephone support regarding patient care questions
  • Communicates with reception to facilitate proper patient flow
  • Maintains cleanliness in exam and procedure rooms
  • Perform other duties as required
