Responsibilities of the Registered Dietitian:

  • Nutritional Assessments & Care Plans: Conduct assessments for patients, develop personalized care plans, and supervise dietetic technicians.
  • Specialized Nutritional Support: Offer guidance for tube-fed and TPN patients, ensuring adherence to Nutrition Support policies and regulatory standards.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients and families on therapeutic diets and general nutrition, monitor progress, and document interventions.
  • Team Collaboration: Participate actively in team discussions, promote interdisciplinary collaboration, and manage diet implementations effectively.

Requirements of the Registered Dietitian:

  • Bachelor’s degree in nutrition or related field, particularly for candidates hired post-April 1, 2022. A combination of education and work experience is also considered.
  • Must be a Registered Dietitian (RD) with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR), or attain certification within 6 months of hire.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • Strong analytical abilities, proficient computer skills, and effective communication capabilities.
