The purpose of Florida educator certification is to support the academic achievement of our students by assuring that our educators are professionally qualified for highly effective instruction. Florida educators must be certified to teach in our public schools and in many of our private schools. Educators include classroom teachers, school administrators, and other support professionals, such as guidance counselors and media specialists. DESCRIPTION:
In this position, the candidate will serve as a certification evaluator to process credentials to determine eligibility for an educator’s certificate pursuant to Florida Statutes, State Board of Education Rules, and Department/Bureau policies covering all subject areas. In this capacity, you will assume critical responsibilities related to the implementation of the requirements of state laws specifically as defined by Florida Statues and State Board of Education Rules.
