(Short- Term) Construction Superintendent
This is a short-term/temporary position.
You will assist and work with Project Manager, Project Engineer, and SSHO to oversee and coordinate the daily operations of the project’s construction site, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations, the plans, and specifications.
Responsibilities:
·To manage, oversee, and coordinate all day-to-day operations of the construction site. This includes working with Talion employees, subcontractors, consultants, and project owners involved in construction, inspections, and testing.
·Coordinate daily with subcontractors, owner representatives, vendors, and supplier.
·Implement management techniques that are cost-effective and efficient.
·Experienced in reading plans and specifications. Ability to execute the work as shown in the project documents.
·Manage the implementation of the quality control plan on site. Track, report, and correct deficiencies.
·Perform daily inspections of work performed and log work performed. Ensure all work is completed per the plan, specifications, submittals, and RFIs.
·Ensure all products received and installed meet project requirements.
·Ensure third party/project owner inspections are scheduled appropriately.
·Ensure safety of all personnel on the project site. Assist the SSHO as needed.
·Attend all safety meetings.
·Participate in internal and client meetings.
·Develop and manage job schedules (i.e., look-ahead schedules, etc.); coordinate scheduling with in-house workers, subcontractors, project owners, inspectors, and vendors/suppliers. Schedule work ahead of time.
·Ability to perform quantity take-offs or assist project manager with creating change orders.
·Assist with material or subcontractor procurement. Prepare purchase order request as needed.
·Track all RFI and submittal status. Collaborate with project team during creation of RFIs/submittals. Provide photos, measurements, and other field information as needed.
·Maintain project documentation. Prepare and collect daily reports, sign-in sheets, and CQ reports.
·Driver's License (Required)
·Must be able to travel when necessary.
Skills:
·Good knowledge of Army Corps of Engineers Quality Control Program
·Ability to exercise independent judgment.
·Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, managerial, and strong communicative (written and oral) skills.
·Excellent supervisory, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential.
·Strong attention to detail.
·Strong ability to multitask, prioritize, and work well under pressure to meet established deadlines.
·Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Project, Power Point, Word, Outlook)

Schedule:
·Monday to Friday, weekends as needed, nights as needed.
·40 hours per week.
Education:
·Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, or construction management (Preferred)
Certs:
·OSHA 30 in Construction (Required).
·First Aid/CPR/AED (Required).
·Construction Quality Management for Contractors (CQM-C) (Required).
·EM 385-1-1 40 hours (Preferred).
Experience:
·Minimum 5 years’ experience in construction.
·Experience in federal construction preferred.
Physical Requirements:
·Prolonged periods of standing or walking.
·Capability to access all areas of the project site.
·Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times.
·Capable of loading/unloading material deliveries.
·Assist with housekeeping at the project site as needed.
·Assist laborers as needed.
