A Day in the Life

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

• Oversees a combination of manual and clerical shipping and receiving duties; may work out of a central warehouse.
• Uses computer system for tracking, logging, verifying and reporting.
• Follows shipping practices and procedures, and transportation routing, schedules and requirements.
• Receives incoming materials or prepares materials for shipment.
• Packing and unpacking of items such as finished products, raw stock, assemblies, parts, building materials, office supplies, equipment, etc.
• Verifies quantity, weight, and conformance of materials to stated identifications; logs receipt of items in system, processes freight bills, packing sheets, and other documents; reports materials shipped and bills of lading; posts weight and shipping charges and routes merchandise to destinations.
• Management Skills: Management of Financial and Material Resources, Critical Thinking, Project Management, Management of Personnel Resources, Collaboration and Productivity Software, Effective Communication Skills.
• Functional Skills: Systems Thinking, Scientific Computing, Quality Management, Technology Awareness.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

• Requires advanced knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience. Requires 3 years of experience with a high school diploma or equivalent.

Nice to Have

• 7 years of people management experience. 
• Prior experience setting up warehouse operations. 
• SAP experience highly desired.
