Repair, maintain and overhaul production equipment that produce and seal surgical devices. The position is in Jacksonville, Florida. Looking for a trouble shooter, team player and self starter that’s willing to learn.

A Day in the Life

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Performs installation, maintenance, and repairs online manufacturing or plant equipment.
  • Locates and diagnoses failures, replaces defective components, and performs basic troubleshooting using standard electronic equipment, detailed drawings, diagrams, sketches, specifications, prints, manuals, and verbal and/or written instructions.
  • Uses a variety of hand, power, and test tools and equipment.
  • May redesign optical, vacuum, electrical, electronic, or mechanical systems for incorporation on existing manufacturing equipment.
  • May estimate labor and equipment costs and prepare requisitions as required.
  • Experience using CMMS to follow, record and collect data for preventative maintenance performed on plant equipment.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, PP, OneNote)
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience and may require vocational or technical education or certification in addition to prior work experience
Nice to Have
  • Knowledge of hardware/software programming applications for PLC, Microcomputer, and PC based controls.
  • Troubleshoot and repair complex electromechanical and control systems.
  • Read and interpret ladder logic schematics both static and online.
  • Ability to maintain and operate complex electro-mechanical systems within prescribed parameters.
  • Must be able to develop standard procedures to improve safety and remove variation in the system processes.
  • Perform upgrades and projects with minimal supervision. 
  • Must possess excellent communication skills and be able to work with minimal supervision.
