i3 is looking for an MJAT Software Tester to support US Air Force MQ-9 Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA) training systems as well as other RPA-related development activities. The selected candidate will be conducting developmental component and system level software solution validation targeted to customer and engineering derived requirements on RPA hardware and software in-the-loop (HWIL/SWIL) configurations. The selected candidate will design, author, and report on tests targeted at validation of customer and system level requirements. This position requires daily interactions with RPA ground systems in a laboratory environment located in Huntsville, AL.

• Design, document, analyze, perform, and interpret developmental tests cases for new and modified products or product components based on defined requirements.
• Investigate and report software deficiencies on systems and subsystem functionality to developers, engineers, and program management personnel.
• Support Agile processes such as SCRUM and cyber focused implementation activities.
• Collaborate between cross-functional teams within the project office, software development, and other Joint Systems Integration Lab (JSIL) teams.
• Work with senior software/system engineers to support software release schedules.
• Create plans, reports, and briefs to provide to management personnel and engineering team on software features and system performance.
• Analyze the development, maintenance, and refinement of internal quality control, reliability, and configuration management programs.
• Plan and conduct daily assignments under general supervision.
• Monitor/utilize development tools to update tasks/test cases, conduct work item check-ins, and implement test case version control.
• Recommend changes in procedures, operate with substantial latitude for un-reviewed actions or decisions, and review progress with management.

• Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline and minimum of 3 years of experience is required.
• Additional experience may be substituted in lieu of education.
• Experience with testing or developing software applications.
• Cloud-based or containerized testing preferred, but not required.
• Security and/or Net certifications preferred.
• Experience using Azure DevOps preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative Agile team environment.
• Possession of excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
