About the Role

The Company is seeking a Senior Corporate Counsel with a focus on Real Estate and Transactions to join their dynamic legal team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality, high-value legal support on commercial real estate and corporate matters, particularly serving clients at the officer and senior management levels. This role involves delivering strategic advice and counsel on a range of real estate issues, including leasing, sub-leasing, build-outs, construction contracts, and purchase and sale agreements. The Senior Corporate Counsel will also oversee and negotiate complex agreements, provide general commercial transactional support, and ensure that key business initiatives are structured and negotiated to achieve objectives while mitigating legal, reputation, and regulatory risks.Applicants must have a J.D. from an accredited law school, be in good standing with the Illinois State Bar, and have 5 -7 years' of experience as an attorney with a focus on commercial real estate transactions. The role requires expertise in real estate matters, strong problem-solving skills, exemplary analytical and interpretation skills, and the ability to communicate and interact effectively with clients at all levels of the organization. The ideal candidate will be a proven leader, capable of managing third-party service providers and leading cross-functional teams. A business-minded, results-oriented approach, as well as the ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple projects, are essential for this position.
