Job Description: 

The Intel Quality and Reliability Models and Tools group (QRMT) develops and supports a tool portfolio includes a variety of statistical and physics-based models and software tools that enable performance/power/reliability/cost optimization of Intel's microprocessors, chipsets, and platforms. The intern role will support the development of QRMT reliability web service which will help migrate standalone reliability calculators to web and linux environment. The proposed service will provide consistent reliability modeling methodology to product and fab groups. The work will involve validating the reliability modeling methodology. In this role the intern will learn a variety of semiconductor quality and reliability models, use statistical methods and be part of the full development process including scoping new capabilities. The work will involve validating the reliability model implementation, verifying the compatibility with existing Intel and foundry process, communicating web API and UI/UX development to multiple user organizations, and documenting the usage instruction and tutorial.

This internship is for 3 months but potentially extended after summer.

Qualifications:

Experience can be obtained from courses, school practices or other internships.

Required:

Candidate must be actively pursuing PhD degree in electrical engineering, physics, or any other related field in engineering.

3 months background in modeling and data validation is required.

Preferred:

Background in computational modeling, C/C /C#, web programming is preferred.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in

US, California:$63,000.00-$166,000.00

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
