The Watts Internship Program is strategically designed to allow you the opportunity to utilize what you have learned in the classroom while gaining a true understanding of the business world by applying those key principles through hands-on experience. During the internship, students will gain exposure to and impact operations. There will be many chances to network with like-minded manufacturing and industrial engineering professionals and stimulate your mind through cross-departmental collaboration.

Locations : North Andover, MA (Hybrid onsite Monday to Wednesday; Thursday and Friday Remote)

What You’ll Do

The Product Manager Intern will offer support across functional areas of the business with the primary focus on the Product Management and Marketing functions. You will have exposure to the following components during your internship:

· Production- Making and Packaging

· Physical Distribution/ Warehouse

· Quality

· Health, Safety, and Environment

The summer internship will be approximately 13 weeks, and during your time with Watts, you will focus on the following:

· Competitive Trend Analysis - Assist in the competitive and trend analysis for Smart & Connected products and share data with key stakeholders to identify strengths and areas of opportunity.

· Market Size Analysis - Perform market size analysis for product lines and growth operations by industry vertical

· L everage Sales Tools - Assist with other sales tools and coordinate with product manager and specialists to ensure consistency in processes and procedures

· Strategic Marketing Planning – Assist in the development of strategic marketing plans for a product or product line through market research, competitive analysis, pricing, customer engagement, and business planning

· Customer Meetings and Presentations - Assist in the preparation for customer meetings and presentations for assigned initiatives.

· Product Roadmap – Collaborate with the team on high-level summaries of product visions, timelines, directions, and the why behind the initiatives

Minimum Qualifications

· Current student (sophomore, junior, or senior status) actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or related field. · Must be authorized to work in the United States and do not require sponsorship now or in the future

· Detail-oriented, strong willingness to learn, and ability to manage competing priorities

· Ability to communicate and communicate effectively and collaborate interdepartmentally with professionalism · Strong technical and systems acumen

*Physical Requirements

While performing the duties, the employee will be working in an office environment with exposure to the plant floor as well as the Engineering Test Facility. The employee is required to sit, stand, walk, and use hands to handle objects and other tools. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The Employee may be required to lift, push, and/or pull up to 20 pounds.
