At Gallus Medical Detox Centers, our mission is to providethe highest quality inpatient medical detox services and to be the best firststep in overcoming substance use disorders.We have created an unparalleled standard of care in the industry, and weare seeking a Registered Nurse (Night Shift) for our Littleton location who canmeet that standard and deliver the finest possible care.Our Registered Nurse will lead thetherapeutic care team with a balance of empathy, kindness, and strong clinicalexperience, and provide our patients with the type of client-centered care wehave become known for in the industry.The RN will care for and guide up to six patients as theyprogress through the medical detox process while collaborating withPsychiatrists, Social Workers, Therapists, Physicians, and other medicalprofessionals to plan and deliver care using a multi-disciplinary,patient-focused approach.We’re lookingfor an individual with compassion, empathy, and a genuine desire to helppatients affect lasting change.

·Render and supervise care for Gallus detoxpatients

·Determine and implement specific detoxprotocols as designated by the physician

·Assist in evaluating patient’s condition andprogress with other team members

·Observe and assess patients for clinical signsand symptoms following prescribed course of treatment

·Proficient in IV insertion and medicationdelivery

·Implement nursing care and medicalinterventions based on observed signs and symptoms

·Record and report all information related tothe patient’s mental and physical condition

·Assign duties and supervise treatment by clinicaltechnician staff

·Report to Nursing Director all situationswhich require administrative intervention, including incident reports

·Participate in quality management and staffmeetings

Requirements

SuccessfulCandidates Must Have:

·Current CO RN license or Multi-State license, ingood standing

·Current CPR and ACLS certifications

·Minimum of 4-years full-time professional experiencein ICU/CCU, step-down/telemetry, or ER setting

·Knowledge of detoxification regimens insubstance abuse

·Knowledge of behavioral health, specificallysubstance abuse, preferred

·Knowledge of crisis intervention techniquesand de-escalation methods to deal with/prevent disruptive patient behavior

·Proficient in medical record documentation

·Knowledge of basic techniques &methods to ground clients struggling with anxiety ina mental health or substance abuse setting

·Ability to treat patients with dignity andempathy in challenging situations

·Strong desire to be part of a team dedicatedto providing patients with exceptional therapeutic care

·Compassion for all patients facing tryingphysical & mental health crises
