POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Commercial Construction Estimator to join our client's dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately estimating costs for commercial construction projects, ensuring competitiveness in bidding while maintaining profitability.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to prepare accurate cost estimates for commercial construction projects.
• Conduct thorough quantity take-offs and cost analysis for all aspects of construction, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor services.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to identify potential cost-saving opportunities and value engineering alternatives.
• Solicit and review subcontractor bids, negotiate pricing, and assess subcontractor qualifications and capabilities.
• Utilize industry-standard estimating software and tools to streamline the estimation process and ensure accuracy.
• Prepare detailed and comprehensive bid proposals, including breakdowns of costs, timelines, and project schedules.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client presentations to discuss project requirements and address any concerns or questions.
• Keep abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and pricing fluctuations for construction materials and labor.
• Collaborate with the procurement team to obtain competitive pricing for materials and equipment, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project budgets.
• Maintain organized records of all estimates, bids, and related documentation, and provide regular progress reports to management.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Minimum 6-years' experience in commercial estimation
• Commercial Interior finish out and ground project experience.
• Experience with On Screen Takeoff
• Experience with city and municipality.
• Willingness/passion to help guide or train other estimators.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred.
• Professional certification such as Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) or Certified Construction Estimator (CCE) is a plus.

Compensation
- Minimum $80,000 salary (significant range above depending on experience)
