Melt Supervisor - Oversee melt operations, which include:

• Monitoring the temperature of the molten metal.

• Ensuring the environment is safe for the employees.

• Ensuring the proper technique is being used.

• Able to assist with laboratory functions such as testing the chemistry of the metal and being able to run/calibrate various laboratory machines such as an ARL, Spectrograph or Carbon testing machine.

• Lead and assist pouring operations.

• Working with Lab tech to ensure proper chemistry of the metal being poured and to ensure the quality of the metal matches the company's and customer's standards.

• Using an overhead crane and forklift to move material's.

• Be able to identify and correct any mistakes or issue that arise within the department

• Measuring amounts of material needed.

• Keeping inventory of the items needed for the department.

• Document all aspects of the department such as scrap rate, material used, material needed, what was done that day...etc.

Requirements

• Must be knowledgeable in Math

• Must be knowledgeable in Chemistry

• Must be able to lead a team of roughly 10 people

• Must be organized

• Must have leadership/supervisory experience

• Have worked in a foundry or manufacturing setting

• Reliable Transportation

• Metallurgy

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
