OUR CLIENT
Our client, an award-winning and busy Architecture and Design firm in Edmonton is currently looking for a talented individual to work in the role of a Contract Administrator. This person could also be based in Edmonton. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to join a dynamic team and participate in the development of a variety of innovative and large scale projects across a number of sectors, including some unique projects that this firm have been awarded recently.THE JOB
The role will have you working with all aspects of CA, including site visits and liaising with construction managers, owners representatives, general contractors and their sub-trades. In addition to administrating change control procedures, contract administration methodologies and policy development, you will ensure that projects adhere to the contract documents and the building and safety codes. You will be involved in the execution of a variety of high profile projects including public/civic projects, community, mixed use and institutional projects. Collaborating with the architects and production teams for change orders, RFIs and other documentation will also be integral to this role.WHAT'S REQUIRED
The ideal candidate will have the following credentials;
  • Possess an Architectural Technology Diploma/Certification or related Architectural education
  • 4 years' experience in the industry with at least 2 years doing contract administration or some site work/project coordination for Architectural projects (this firm are open to potentially training a junior with minimal CA experience)
  • Familiarity with Revit software, as well as Microsoft Office Suite
  • Able to review and mark up shop drawings
  • Technical skills as a technologist are a strong asset
  • Ability to work collaboratively with project teams and company stakeholders
  • Excellent presentation, negotiation and communication skills
