Title: CDL Truck Driver / Construction Yard

Location: Granby, CO 

The Roofing Company is looking for an experienced CDL Driver to add to their growing team! The Roofing Company is an award-winning full-service roofing contractor specializing in residential and commercial roofing projects in Granby and the surrounding mountain counties. The CDL Truck Driver position will be working in the construction yard and making deliveries to local job sites. If you are looking for a rewarding career with a growing company, this is the position for you! 

What you’ll be doing:  

The CDL Truck Driver will be responsible for pick-up and delivery of materials, helping to cover Granby and the surrounding maintain counties. Additional help in the construction yard including inventory and upkeep of the incoming supplies.

Responsibilities include: 

• Fully understand how to safely operate and drive your assigned vehicle, with Gross Vehicle Weight over 26,000 lbs. 
• Pick-up and safely transport goods construction material to intended destinations. 

• Facilitate routine service on trucks, which may include checking oil, water, gasoline and air; reports maintenance malfunctions to Supervisor. 
• Ensure contents are properly secured in a truck or flatbed to prevent damage and injury. 
• Confirm the contents of each shipment load matches the manifest document. 
• Follow delivery schedule and rest at appropriate times. 
• Maintain detailed driving and delivery logs. 

• Track and report working hours. 
• Adhere to company rules and regulations. 
• Obey all applicable traffic laws and drive safely according to the weather and road conditions. 
• Comply with ICC and DOT regulations. 
• Make safety a priority at all times. 

Qualifications: 

• Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in commercial truck driving preferred. 
• Ability to use navigation tools such as onboard GPS, smartphone apps, and/or web-based or physical maps. 
• Able to plan delivery routes 
• Must maintain basic logs and records. 

• Can work independently to carry out a series of instructions. 
• Position requires prolonged periods of sitting in a trailer cab. 
• Must be able to lift and move up to 40 pounds at a time. 
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug test. 
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent. 

• Valid CDL in good standing. 

Compensation: 

The Roofing Company offers a comprehensive compensation package including competitive salary, annual bonus potential, health benefits including dental and vision insurance, PTO, paid Holidays and MORE. The salary for this role is based on experience and could be in the range of $25-28 per hour. This position does offer bonus potential!
