Quality Assurance Tech III
Location: Redmond, WA 98052- 100% onsite 
Duration: 11 months
Estimated Start Date: 03/04/24
Daily Schedule: M-F Core Hours; 9 am-6 pm PST, 40 hrs/wk is the preferred.
Number and Type of Interviews: 2 Interviews [1 w Mgr, 1 w Team member]
HOURS: 9 am-6 pm PST, 40 hrs/wk is the preferred shift. 100% onsite role
We are seeking a talented and highly motivated Quality Assurance Engineer (QAE) for a contract position testing iOS and Android mobile applications. The ideal candidate has great communication skills, can remove roadblocks, detail oriented, and has a knack for breaking software. QAE's regularly work with Developers, Product Managers, User Experience Designers, and other Quality Engineers to ensure the proper operation of the production environment. During the development cycle, QAEs identify use cases, create test cases, execute tests, and report results.
QUALIFICATIONS
# BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience 4 years industry experience testing software, including mobile applications.
# Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
# Experience with QA process and Software Development Life Cycle.
# Proficiency in test methodologies, scripting, and problem solving. Understands test approaches; knows when/not to apply.
# Proficiency with writing and optimizing test plans, automated solutions, and QA metrics.
# Experience with Kotlin, Java, and/or SwiftUI is desired, but not required.

• Internal Amazon partners will be who they work with primarily
• Own both Native Android and ioS features. Same exact features across 2 different platforms.
• 7 Developers on Android, 7 on ioS. Most likely work with Product Manager and UX Designers.
• More collaborative
• Indexes highly on ownership and deliver results. Team moves really fast. Folks who do well and own big slices of pie and run with it. Try to include QA's on bi weekly meetings to discuss issues, challenges, etc.

Years of Experience: 
• 4 years industry experience testing software, including mobile applications.
Degree or Certification:
• BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
