About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Data Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data architecture, with extensive experience in Oracle databases, ETL processes, and data modeling. This role requires expertise in Azure Data Factory, Power BI, and the ability to work closely with customers and internal teams to manage data needs, reporting, and perform data research.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Pipeline Management:

  • Build and edit Data Factory pipelines to ensure seamless data integration and flow.
  • Implement ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into data warehouses.

• Database Management:

  • Manage and optimize Oracle 12c (or greater) databases to support mission-critical applications.
  • Design and model databases for RDMS, BI, OLTP, and OLAP solutions leveraging multiple DBMS technologies.

• Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Conduct extensive data analysis, profiling, and modeling to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
  • Develop and maintain reporting solutions using Azure Power BI.
  • Work with customers to address file issues and perform detailed data research.

• Collaboration and Support:

  • Collaborate with the application development team to provide enhancements and support for VITA's system.
  • Work with business and technical users to gather and translate reporting/analytics requirements into comprehensive data solutions.

Qualifications

• Education:

  • Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Experience:

  • 5 years of hands-on experience with Oracle 12c or greater.
  • 5 years in a data architecture role.
  • 5 years of experience building data flows using ETL tools, with specific expertise in Azure Data Factory.
  • Demonstrated experience with data analysis, profiling, and modeling.
  • Extensive experience with ETL processes and tools.
  • Proven ability to design and manage RDMS, BI, OLTP, and OLAP solutions.

• Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Azure Power BI for data visualization and reporting.
  • Experience with various data sources including RDMBS, OLAP cubes, mainframe file systems, web services, APIs, XML, and text files.
  • Knowledge of Azure PowerAutomate, Microsoft SQL Server, and Azure Dataverse is a plus.
