Job Title: Accessibility Developer

Location: Remote (Monday through Friday during standard business hours)

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated .Net developer to join our Application Development (App Dev) team. This role is pivotal in supporting the launch of a statewide initiative aimed at enhancing accessibility, allowing all Iowans to interact more fully with public service websites.

• Perform manual and automated testing to document accessibility compliance.
• Write comprehensive reports detailing accessibility issues and recommendations for resolution.

Required Skills and Experience:

• .Net Development: Proficiency in C#, ASP.Net, MVC, CORE, and Restful APIs with at least 4 years of experience.
• ORM: Experience with Entity Framework or comparable Object-Relational Mapping tools, minimum 4 years.
• Front-End Technologies: Solid experience in HTML/CSS, JavaScript, or jQuery for 4 years.
• Version Control: Proficiency in Azure DevOps, GIT, GitHub Enterprise for at least 2 years.
• Automated Testing: Experience with automated unit testing for a minimum of 2 years.
• Agile Methodologies: Experience working on an agile scrum team for at least 2 years.
• Database Management: Proficiency in TSQL language skills and working with MS SQL for at least 2 years.
• Responsive Design: Experience with Bootstrap 4 or above for at least 1 year.

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Modern Frameworks: Familiarity with TypeScript/Angular 6 or above, desired for at least 1 year.
• Accessibility Guidelines: Knowledge of WCAG guidelines, desired for at least 1 year.
• Evaluation Tools: Experience with accessibility evaluation tools, desired for at least 1 year.
• Assistive Technologies: Familiarity with various assistive technologies across multiple platforms, including Screen Readers, Magnification, and Read-aloud tools (e.g., VoiceOver, NVDA, JAWS, ZoomText, Dragon Naturally Speaking), desired for at least 1 year.
