Job Description:

· Chemotherapy and Administration and Consultation: Administers PO, SC injections, chemotherapy drugs, and other medications as ordered by physician: consults with other medical personnel and may provide expert information about chemotherapy, side effects, etc.:provides a variety of assistance to physicians.

· Assumes responsibility for clinic specific assignments.

· Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments, notes all changes in physician orders on assigned patients.

· Assists physician during conscious sedation patients and in performing minor diagnostic procedures and treatment.

· Obtains and monitors physiological data of patients, observes the physiological manifestations of patients and intervenes when necessary.

Certificates and Licenses:

· AHA BLS

· ONS Chemo/Biotherapy Certificate

Education:

· Graduation from an accredited school of practical nursing required.
