ACCOUNTANTOn-Site - Pay between $65-85k annuallyThis role is vital to the financial health of our growing company, involving a range of tasks from account reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliation, to handling general ledger and journal entries. The successful candidate will be proficient in various accounting software and Microsoft Excel.The accountant takes ownership of the daily general ledger, including all account and report maintenance, input of journal entries, reconciliations and preparation of the supporting schedules and analyses.The successful candidate for this position will have a background in accounting, payroll, accounts payable, job costing, general Ledger, billing and accounts receivable with proven experience in a similar Accountant roll.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:•Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and balance sheet accounts.•Perform reconciliations on a daily and monthly basis.•Create and enter journal entries related to monthly business activities with appropriate documentation for backup to include but not limited to payroll and benefits.•Prepare tax filings, payroll,1099 sales/use etc.•Provide backup support for accounts receivable, accounts payable and payroll.•Yearend inventory processing•Assist in preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules according to monthly close schedule•Support accounting software and ERP development, improvement.•Assists with external audits as necessary. REQUIREMENTS•Sound knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles•Able and willing to share acquired accounting knowledge•Experience in period end close procedures, reconciliations•A degree in accounting- minimum of Associates with Bachelor’s ideal•Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite•Analytical with high attention to detail and accuracy•Proactive and self-motivated•Ability to work independently and meet deadlines•Good communication and interpersonal skills•Team player and ability to collaborate effectivelyOTHER•Report to company Controller•Possible path to position advancement in the future.•Ideally, looking for someone with 5-10 years in a like Accountant role.
