As a Rigger at Talent Source you will play avital role in supporting shipyard operations by safely andefficiently rigging and hoisting heavy equipment and materials.

Responsibilities :

• Interpret rigging plans drawings and specifications todetermine rigging requirements for lifting and moving equipment andmaterials.
• Select appropriate rigging gearsuch as slings chains cables and hooks based on load weightsdimensions and center of gravity.
• Rig and hoist equipment and materials using cranes hoistsand other lifting devices while adhering to safe rigging practicesand procedures.
• Communicate effectively withcrane operators and other team members to coordinate riggingoperations and ensure safe and efficient load handling.
• Perform rigging calculations to determine load capacitiessling angles and rigging configurations for various liftingscenarios.
• Secure loads using appropriaterigging techniques including knots hitches and lashings to preventshifting or falling during lifting and transport.
• Monitor and adjust rigging during lifting operations tomaintain load stability and prevent accidents or damage toequipment and materials.
• Assist in the setupand dismantling of rigging equipment including rigging hardwareblocks and sheaves.
• Adhere to safetyregulations and company policies to promote a safe workingenvironment and prevent accidents andinjuries.

Requirements :

• Previous experience as a rigger in a shipyard orindustrial setting.
• Knowledge of riggingtechniques equipment and procedures.
• Certification or training in rigging and hoistingoperations preferred.
• Familiarity with cranesignals and hand signals for communicating with craneoperators.
• Strong attention to detail andadherence to safety protocols.
• Ability to workat heights and in confined spaces.
• Physicalability to lift and maneuver heavy objects and work in variousweather conditions.
• Excellent communicationand teamwork skills.
