The Registered Occupational Therapist is responsible for providing patient care based on a total assessment and written evaluation that is appropriate for the patient's need and medical condition. This care must be in compliance with hospital and physical therapy department policies and procedures. The therapist will also contribute to the department's performance improvement plan and uphold the hospital’s commitment to continuous quality improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Provide therapeutic care in accordance with the established treatment plan.
- Assume responsibility for maintaining and improving occupational therapy knowledge and skills.
- Conduct staff in-services and participate in continuing education courses.
- Maintain good communication and computer skills.
- Adhere to the Standards of Practice for Occupational Therapy and the Code of Ethics established by the AOTA.
Qualifications:
- Licensure/Certification/Registration: Licensed in the State of Oklahoma, Certification-Basic Life Support (CPR) within 30 days of hire.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Occupational Therapy with a BS, MS, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Experience: 6 months or greater (preferred).
